Getting to know Noosa…
Noosa is always a special place for me as this is where I first competed in my first Triathlon, but I have never really had the opportunity to experience it outside of this event. It was great to train there for a few weeks and find all the local hangouts and be embraced by the huge sporting community that is up there. Some of my favourite finds for this trip were:
COSTA NOOSA Espresso:
A cycling institution – reminds me very much of the European lifestyle of post ride coffee.
From what I found so far, the best coffee is in Sunshine Beach – www.costanoosa.com.au . The aroma of fresh beans being roasted on site certainly helps lure you as well. I’m a huge fan of the Italian ACF cups, so this place ticks a lot of boxes for me. The attention to detail in every cup mad and the passionate perfection to sourcing and roasting beans, it’s no wonder they have been awarded 3 medals in the Golden Bean Competition for 2010/11. Congrats to Gavin and the rest of his team.
GRIND ESPRESSO + BISTRO C:
The best all round breakfast in Noosaville was Grind Espresso. From a Bircher Muesli to Egg’s Bendict, it certainly catered for everyone’s tastes. For dinner I just can’t go past my favourite place in Hastings Street – Bistro C. I love their decor, relaxed beachside vibe and their egg fried calamari with a rocket and parmesan salad. You don’t past that view either – you almost have your sand in your toes;) http://www.bistroc.com.au
