Noosa Triathlon is such a special place for me and even though I hadn’t done my normal training load since the Olympics with a lot more going on than normal. I really wanted to share my Olympic win with and at a place with a community that meant so much to me and was where my Triathlon career was shaped.
This was my first race since Beijing, but I was just excited to go and race for the love of it on my favourite course. Somehow, this was my way of showing my appreciation to the people of Australia, the community that our sport has and to the event itself. I wished I had enough time to thank everyone along that course.
